(I think I post a variation on this shot every time I fly to Wellington but it's one of my favourite views in NZ.)

We had stunning weather for our week away in Queenstown but it was cloudy and atmospheric for the flight back to Auckland. We had some fantastic views of the Southern Alps, dotted with snow and swamped with clouds.

When I flew over Mount Taranaki again a few weeks later, it had its first dusting of snow.

I saw this remarkable cloud winging its way around Mount Taranaki from an early morning flight to Wellington a few weeks ago.

Sea and Sky
