Meeting the Natives

Two of the three of us spent last week on the Surf Coast, just south of Melbourne. We stayed in a cabin on a campsite and explored the local area at a leisurely pace.

Apart from the gorgeous blue ocean and stunning beach views, one of the highlights of our holiday was probably the wildlife - kangaroos bounded past our deck and galahs called from the trees in the campsite. Here are some of the creatures that we encountered.

Trans-Tasman Trip

Smart restaurants, late night bars, arty streets, fancy boutiques and historic places - none of those are likely to feature in our trip to Australia this week.

So I thought I'd post a few photos from my last visit to show you some of the sights of Melbourne that we definitely won't be seeing over the next few days on our family-friendly forays.
