Looking Back

This video is a break from the usual kiwi focus of this blog. I'm posting it because it reminds me of Sunday afternoons in north London.

It also reminds me of the horrors of cross country running but that's not such a happy memory!

In The News 2

This is Britomart Station in downtown Auckland. The architecture - but not the service - reminds me of the Jubilee Line extension. Unfortunately the trains only go to a few corners of the city and not very frequently.


The new Auckland supercity will get its first supermayor in just a few weeks' time. Some of the more forward-thinking candidates have made public transport a key issue.
